Experience the cool vibe of downtown State College during our monthly First Friday events. A casual atmosphere features art, people-watching, mingling with friends, shopping, and dining at the diverse and delectable State College restaurants. First Friday goers will experience after-hours access to galleries and shops, free bites and beverages, live music and entertainment, retail and restaurant specials, and more. Appalachian Outdoors
Join us along with for this special First Friday and celebrate the great taste of the Pennsylvania Tuxedo. Big Spring Spirits and Mount NitaNee Kombucha will be sampling at the event. Kid Tech will be in store for a fun activity for kids and kids at heart! A $10.00 donation gets you a Woolrich Pint Glass, benefits the Centre County Youth Service Bureau.

The Central Pennsylvania Dance Workshop
The Central Pennsylvania Dance Workshop will be holding a Broadway Dance Workshop from 6:00-7:30 PM at their studio at 101 S. Fraser St. Adults and Children of all ages and skill levels are invited to learn choreography by the legendary Bob Fosse and from Michael Bennett’s ‘A Chorus Line’. Participation in the workshop will be $15/person or $10/Students and $8/current CPDW students. Don’t want to dance but still want to watch? Observers are welcome! Participants asked to wear dance shoes or socks – no street shoes, please!

Woskob Family Gallery
Visit the Woskob Family Gallery for two special events First Friday: an art-making workshop, Pretty Ugly Portraits, and a pop-up sale of ceramics by Penn State’s Clay Club.
Throughout the evening, the Penn State Clay Club will have a sale of hand-made pottery made by undergraduate, post-bach, and graduate students studying ceramics.
Inspired by themes from the current exhibition “Homecoming” by Rebecca Morgan, participants in Pretty Ugly Portraits will get the opportunity to think about questions of beauty and identity by creating unique portraits using collage. Share your thoughts on stereotypes, appearance, and identity with the community by adding to our collaborative wall.

The Expect More Store presents the work of local artist Lindsey Swigart during First Friday! Stop by to view her original pencil portraits, listen to live music by local musician John White, and enjoy cheeses, wine, and beer from 5:30-7:30 p.m.
