URBAN FUSION blends jazz, funk, soul, blues and Latin in their arrangements. They play original compositions and songs by a rich diversity of artists including Grover Washington, Jr., Billy Strayhorn, BB King, and Santana. They have opened for Joe Ford, Phil Perry, Spyro Gyra, and performed throughout Pennsylvania at clubs, festivals, colleges, and prisons.

Urban Fusion began in the late 80′s with Andrew Jackson (percussion/vox), Chris Byrne (sax/flute/vox), Chip Lovett (keyboards) and Gary Abdullah (bass). The founding four still play small club dates as a quartet on occasion, but have always thrived on collaborating with other musicians and vocalists. Joining in this concert are guitarist Jeff Gibble, who has been a regular with the band since 2014, drummer David Vactor, who began playing with the band in summer of 2018, and violinist Carl Ector, who has performed with the band on many occasions for over 10 years.
