Professional Theatre in the Heart of Downtown
Located in the new PSU Downtown Theatre on South Allen Street, Pennsylvania Centre Stage is the professional arm of the Penn State School of Theatre, providing a mentoring program for young theatre professionals embarking in the theatre business. One of Centre Stage's essential attributes is that it combines professionals with theatre students from Penn State and other colleges and universities. Each production is produced from conception to completion using skills mastered and taught by theatre faculty. As a result, the Penn State School of Theatre is one of the top ten ranked programs in the country. And as the only professional theatre in the Centre Region, Pennsylvania Centre Stage offers a rewarding experience.
Pennsylvania Centre Stage audiences have enjoyed such high-caliber productions as Evita, Death of a Salesman, The Foreigner, Man of La Mancha, Cabaret and Art.
