The State College community has a new quick stop for locally sourced and delicious food.
SNAP Custom Pizza has already seen incredible support from the State College community. The new restaurant located at 132 W. College Ave has been filled with students and community members since they opened their doors just a few weeks ago.
This new pizza spot offers fresh, homemade food quickly and at a price that fits the college student budget.
Rob Wasserman joined Peter Howey & Aaron Nocks on their pizza adventure that began in the mid-1990’s. Since then the trio has kept the same, simple approach to creating the best tasting combinations possible. They have stuck to their core values — time, attitude, pride and community, to name a few.
“We realize that most people don’t have time to sit down and eat meals, especially college students,” Wasserman said. “Our goal is to serve people delicious food in minimal time, always with a positive attitude.”
Customers are able to choose from nine pre-selected signature pizzas that feature some of the most unique topping and flavor combinations. The pizza is made on-the-spot and cooked in their wood-burning ovens, serving you a homemade-style pizza in just a few short minutes. Customers can also create their own custom pizza, choosing from as many of the fresh, local toppings as they please.
“SNAP uses locally sourced toppings to ensure the best quality and freshest taste,” Wasserman said.
SNAP’s custom pizzas offer multiple different combinations of sauces, cheese, toppings and more. Gluten free or cauliflower crust is also available. With unique vegetables such as chipotle corn and spicy broccoli, and proteins ranging from simple pepperoni to applewood smoked bacon, the number of combinations are endless.
Their menu also has a variety of grain bowls and mozzarella bread sticks. To top it all off, SNAP serves local beverages and drinks made with real cane sugar.
