With the holiday season just around the corner, downtown State College has a new store that will meet all of your needs! Located at 325 E. Calder Way, The Happy Valley Holiday Shoppe is a place that anyone with holiday spirit will love.

When Cheap Thrills, the clothing store that formally sat in the shop’s location, closed and the building went on sale, Store Owner Michael Kelley jumped at the opportunity to start something new. Kelley is also the owner of Michael Silver Scissors, the salon right next door.  On November 3, the store officially opened and has already gone through a change in stock after the Halloween and fall season.

Wanting to be different from all the other downtown stores, Kelley decided that he did not want to sell Penn State merchandise. The store will be not be open just for major holidays, but rather all year round; so the products being sold will always be fresh and up to date.  Kelley‘s goal is to focus on as many holidays as possible, including multicultural ones. He wants to be inclusive to international students and anyone else who might stumble across his store.

The Happy Valley Holiday Shoppe is still working on expanding their in-store collection with their recent opening, but stop by for the fun, holiday décor they already have!
