Settled at the edge of downtown State College, on the second floor of the Fraser Centre above Target, you will discover Federal Taphouse. Known for its bold flavors, warm hospitality, and inviting atmosphere, Federal Taphouse is an upscale restaurant that serves an extensive food and beverage list including 100 beers on tap, 10 wines on tap, and many delicious craft cocktails. The beautiful 10,000 square-foot restaurant is outlined by large windows for a fresh and unique view of the downtown area.
Federal Taphouse proudly serves a unique, chef-driven menu created and prepared in a scratch kitchen. Local foodies rave about some of their favorite dishes including the wings, crab dip, freshly made pretzels (paired with the homemade jalapeño cheese!), bison burgers, salmon, fish and chips, and of course their artisanal pizzas!
Federal Taphouse is conveniently attached to the Hyatt Place hotel where we are able to accommodate from small to large gatherings up to 250 guests. We pride ourselves in partnering with local businesses and vendors in the community both on location and off-site events.
Our primary goal is to invite each guest to sit back, relax, grab a refreshing beverage, and enjoy a pleasant experience during every single visit. It’s a great location for a romantic evening or cheering your favorite team to victory with one of their 17 large flat-screen TVs.
