Bellisario College of Communications presents: Shock and Awe

‘Shock and Awe’ is the dramatic retelling of the true story of the small group of Washington journalists that courageously ignored most other national media by uncovering the lies and faulty intelligence used to convince Americans to support an invasion of Iraq in 2003. The film, by veteran Hollywood producer Rob Reiner, features Tommy Lee Jones, Woody Harrelson, Jessica Biel, and James Marsden. After the screening of the film, the three journalists depicted in the movie will join us for an on-stage conversation and question-and-answer session. The three — Jonathan Landay (played by Harrelson), Warren Strobel (played by Marsden), and John Walcott (played by Reiner), are all veteran national diplomatic and intelligence journalists who work in the Washington news bureau of Thomson Reuters.
