Revered for his unique slide guitar technique, Sonny Landreth has collaborated with many legendary performers including John Hiatt, Jimmy Buffett, Mark Knopfler and Eric Clapton. Sonny will perform at Eric Clapton’s Crossroads Festival in Dallas on September 20, his third Crossroads appearance.
Cindy Cashdollar’s expertise is in great demand on both steel guitar and dobro. She has worked with many leading artists in various genres including Bob Dylan, Van Morrison, Rod Stewart and Ryan Adams. With the iconic western swing group Asleep At The Wheel, she garnered 5 Grammy awards and was the first woman to be inducted into the Texas Steel Guitar Hall of Fame in 2011.
Performing a mix of original songs with contemporary and traditional blues and roots music, the show is electric, virtuosic, and tastefully delivered by these two great instrumental masters.
Jimmy Wallace and the members of his band Lynx made quite a name for themselves touring in the ’70s with some of the hottest acts of the day, such as Styx and Kansas. Wallace joined Bugs Henderson & the Stratoblasters in the ’80s. After six years of playing with Bugs, Jimmy elected to take the name Stratoblasters with him. Jimmy Wallace is a Texas musical legend. He has performed with greats such as Todd Rundgren, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Stephen Stills, Johnny Winter, Willie, Nelson, Albert King, and Gregg Allman.
Andy Tolins (guitar.& vocals), Richard Sleigh (harmonica), and Bill Stetz (bass) have collaborated for decades. Tolins, a long time member of the Screaming Ducks, leads the local Triple A Blues Band as well as Haystack Lightnin’, of which Richard and Bill are both alumni. Richard is an accomplished performer, harmonica customizer and instructor, who is featured in workshops on harmonica world wide. String bassist Bill Stetz plays jazz, blues, bluegrass, and beyond in multiple groups across the region. He brings his big tone and chops to the stage in every performance.
