The 2018 Central PA Theatre and Dance Festival, presented by Tempest Productions on the weekend of June 22-24, will host a Pre-Launch Party on April 3rd from 5 – 7pm at The State Theatre, State College, PA. At this party, the festival founders will announce the Festival’s inaugural year’s event with over 25 scheduled performances, as well as introduce the 20 founding member arts companies, and begin sales of the Backstage Passes for the Festival.

Come and meet the founders of this new festival on Tuesday, April 3 between 5-7pm and visit with representatives of the 20 companies performing and producing at this year’s inaugural festival. The Central PA Theatre & Dance Festival is a new 3-day festival organized by Tempest Productions, happening June 22-24, 2018 at the following locations throughout downtown State College: The State Theatre (main stage and Attic spaces), Woskob Family Gallery/The Downtown Theatre, State College Municipal Building, Sidney Friedman Park, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Plaza, Webster’s Bookstore Cafe, Schwab Auditorium, and more.

The festival features over 20 companies performing and producing, as well as workshops, readings, social events, a play writing competition, and more. The festival is made possible in part by funding from the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts and a marketing grant from the Center County Convention and Visitor’s Bureau.
