Central Pennsylvania Dance Workshop presents: Towards The Future

CENTRAL PA DANCE WORKSHOP presents their annual All-School Performance “Towards the Future”

See the students of the Central Pennsylvania Dance Workshop (CPDW) in “Towards the Future” at 7:00 PM, Sunday, April 28th, at the State Theatre in downtown State College. Join us as we anticipate CPDW’s upcoming 50th anniversary season with dances that all look forward in time, from the near future to what might be. Selections include a variety of ages and dance styles representing diverse thematic choices from butterflies and autumn leaves, to aliens and artificial intelligence, from growing up and retirement, to dystopian futures such as Big Brother and “A Handmaid’s Tale.” There is sure to be much to entertain everyone. Children from the creative, preballet, ballet, jazz, lyrical, modern, hip hop, tap, and musical theatre dance classes will participate, along with the adult ballet, modern, jazz, lyrical, and tap classes. The production was choreographed by the CPDW faculty, including Jill A. Brighton, Director, Christina Ford, Erin Hanses, Caitlin Osborne, Ruth Packard, and Karen Stoner.
