Experience the cool vibe of downtown State College during our monthly First Friday events. A casual atmosphere features art, people-watching, mingling with friends, shopping, and dining at the diverse and delectable State College restaurants. First Friday goers will experience after-hours access to galleries and shops, free bites and beverages, live music and entertainment, retail and restaurant specials, and more. Coasters and Cocktails Glass Fusion Event at the Makery
I.F. Studios invites you to The Makery for a Make and Mingle First Friday event on August 4 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Please join us for food, drinks, music and glass fusion! Each participant will be designing/creating a fused glass coaster.
Bookmaking Workshop at the Woskob Family Gallery
The Woskob Family Gallery will be hosting a bookmaking workshop with Kristina Davis, a print maker/book artist from Philadelphia. The workshop will run from 5 – 8 p.m., and Kristina will offer a quick tutorial and materials for a pamphlet stitch handmade book. Visitors will be able to choose the elements for their own pamphlet book, as well as sew and decorate for a keepsake to record the best parts of First Friday art events with friends and family!
Kombucha, snacks, and drinks at Appalacian Outdoors

History Walk/Art Tour
Dennie Fetzer will be hosting a history tour/art walk that will cover the history of S. Allen St. and the art displays around town. The walk will be 30 minutes long and start at the information booth by the library at 6:30 p.m.
Home Economics Exhibit at the Woskob Family Gallery
The Woskob Family Gallery is hosting the exhibit Home Economics, a collection of two- and three-dimensional work by ten artists engaging with various understandings of home, what it means to belong, and the intricacies of domestic relationships.
Animalia Gallery Reception at Art Alliance Gallery Downtown
Animalia features animal-inspired works by thirteen local and regional artists for an exhibition that is too charming to miss! Artists include Betsy Allen, Nancy Brassington, Anne Buchanan, Charleen Casbourne, Art Heim, George Lavanish, Jason Lenox, Liz Liadis, Scott Owens, A.T.
