Experience the cool vibe of downtown State College during our monthly First Friday events.  A casual atmosphere features art, people-watching, mingling with friends, shopping, and dining at the diverse and delectable State College restaurants.  First Friday goers will experience after-hours access to galleries and shops, free bites and beverages, live music and entertainment, retail and restaurant specials, and more. Artist Reception featuring the work of JE Crum at Webster’s Bookstore Cafe, 6-8 p.m.

 

 

 

 

Art in the Dark Open House Exhibit featuring art made by Todd Krout and various other local artists at the Branch and Vine, 5-8:30 p.m.

 

 

 

Sip and Shop at Funky Trunk while browsing winter clearance sales and the Branch and Vine’s “Art in the Dark” artwork, 5-8 p.m

 

 

 

Edgar Farmer’s Art Exhibit at the Expect More Store! Stop by to see original artwork & enjoy some beer, wine and cheese, 5:30-7:30 p.m.

 

 

 

Visit the Makery and learn how to make a needle felted heart that you can use as a decoration or mug mat! $30.00 with pre-registration encouraged, 6-8 p.m.

 

 

 

Stop by Qdoba for some tasty food and check out local magician Richard Benninghoff, 5-8 p.m.

 

 

 

 

Attend a Swing & Latin Dance Workshop at the Central PA Dance Workshop from 6-7:30 pm. All ages and skill levels welcome, please wear dance shoes or socks, no street shoes please! Admission is $15, Students $10 and CPDW students $8, cash or check.

 

 

 

Celebrating Black Lives in Centre County – The evening will include Brief Remarks, Music, Food and lively Roundtable Discussions, 5:30-7 p.m. at the State College Municipal Building, refreshments provided!

 

 

 

Drop in at the Woskob Gallery at the Penn State Downtown Theatre for a MAKE/STUFF workshop led by the Penn State School of Visual Arts Art Education Students! While you’re there, check out the “Pedestrian Rules” exhibition by Haigen G. Pearson, Tyson Washburn, and Barbara Weissberger, 5-8 p.m.
