Experience the cool vibe of downtown State College during our monthly First Friday events. A casual atmosphere features art, people-watching, mingling with friends, shopping, and dining at the diverse and delectable State College restaurants. First Friday goers will experience after-hours access to galleries and shops, free bites and beverages, live music and entertainment, retail and restaurant specials, and more. Woskob Family Gallery presents Rosemarie Fiore

A free workshop for all ages at the Woskob Family Gallery during First Friday, starting at 5pm!
Join us for February First Friday with New York City-based artist and museum educator Rosemarie Fiore! Fiore will lead a STEAM–based workshop for all ages in which participants use art and engineering principles to create their own drawing tools. Come build with us and see what your drawing tool can do and take it home with you at the end of the night! First Friday activities are always free and suitable for all ages, with refreshments served.

East Coast Swing Workshop at the Central Pennsylvania Dance Workshop

Join Caitlin Osborne and Central Pennsylvania Dance Workshop for spirited lesson in East Coast Swing.
East Coast is an offspring of America’s most enduring partner dance, the Lindy Hop – an American original created by African American dancers at the Savoy Ballroom in New York City. This workshop is a chance to celebrate Black History Month, all while learning a fun and friendly social dance.
Bring a partner, a friend, or come on your own. Dances are taught with “lead” and “follow” parts, so same gender pairs are more than welcome.
No experience necessary. Beginners and all ages welcome. Workshop is $15/admission, $10/students, $8/current CPDW students. Dance shoes or socks required – NO street shoes may be worn on the dance floor!
