Experience the cool vibe of downtown State College during our monthly First Friday events.  A casual atmosphere features art, people-watching, mingling with friends, shopping, and dining at the diverse and delectable State College restaurants.  First Friday goers will experience after-hours access to galleries and shops, free bites and beverages, live music and entertainment, retail and restaurant specials, and more. Transformations Perform at Harper’s

Stop in to cool down and enjoy the mesmerizing rhythms of Transformations…playing a plethora of percussion instruments, including hand-made beautiful djembe drums crafted by local artist, Chris Bittner!

Patterned Plates Workshop at The Makery

6 – 8 pm

Join us for First Friday Fun in July with Resident Clay Instructor Lynn Anne Verbeck! You will learn how to do a “dirty pour”and paint glaze in a simple, intricate, detailed or abstract pattern on a ceramic plate! All plates will be ready for pick up at The Makery on or after Tuesday, July 24th.

 

An Evening of Literary Readings at the Woskob Family Gallery

with Webster’ Bookstore & Cafe

In collaboration with Webster’s Bookstore & Cafe, the Woskob Family Gallery will host an evening of literary readings and refreshments.

At 5:30 PM, we will kick things off with a reading by Rachael Lyon, Assistant Teaching Professor of Poetry at Penn State, followed at 6 PM by Lisa Mangini, Assistant Teaching Professor of English at Penn State.

At 6:30 PM, Professor Emeritus of Spanish and Comparative Literature at Penn State Robert Lima will present a reading.

At 7 PM, Nicole Miyashiro will present two new ekphrastic poems based on Diane Samuel’s piece, “Autobiography of Alice B. Toklas/Testimony Against Gertrude Stein,” on currently view in the exhibition, SUMMER READING.

Our studios offer the same class at different times throughout the day. Every day throughout the week offers a different 45 minute workout. The workouts are created by the F45 Athletics and Peak Performance Department from a database of over 3,000 different exercises, so our members never get the same workout twice. This combination of interval, cardiovascular and strength training has been proven to be the most effective workout method for burning fat and building lean muscle. The variation of our workout programming keeps our members challenged, eager to grow and ready to have fun.
