Experience the cool vibe of downtown State College during our monthly First Friday events. A casual atmosphere features art, people-watching, mingling with friends, shopping, and dining at the diverse and delectable State College restaurants. First Friday goers will experience after-hours access to galleries and shops, free bites and beverages, live music, retail and restaurant specials, and more. Farmers Market – Locust Lane

The Downtown Improvement District (DID) is excited to announce the First Friday Market Jam! In coordination with the Downtown Farmers Market, the DID will be sponsoring live, local music at the market on Locust Lane in conjunction with First Friday programming for the months of May through September. Stop by the Downtown Farmers Market between noon and 2pm and enjoy live music as you peruse the locally produced items!

The Borough of State College Office of Community Engagement and Downtown State College are inviting everyone to “Movies Under the Stars” at Sidney Friedman Park (241 S Fraser St, State College, PA 16801). Bring your blankets and sit in the park to watch a movie outside with your friends, family, and community members.
This event is FREE and for all ages.

First Friday at Woskob Family Gallery

Stop by the Woskob Family Gallery to see the current exhibits: Nichole van Beek’s window piece titled Grow Forward Together, Megan Gottfried’s fabric installation Room to Room, two videos (Mold Garden and Tide Flowers) by Stacy Levy, and Catie Dillon’s colorful mural Remain in Light.

Come from 6-7pm for a collage making workshop!

The Makery is partnering with our local Moms Demand Action chapter to create peace flags and, more importantly, to learn how we can get involved to help pass common sense gun legislation.
This event is free, family-friendly, and open to the public. Any donations will go to Everytown for Gun Safety.
