Tonight’s lineup features Barry Long, Kevin Lowe, Bob Hart, and Rick Hirsch.
Trumpeter Barry Long is a principal soloist with the Zeropoint Big Band, a scholar on theintersections of jazz and social justice, and the Chair of the Music Department of Bucknell University.
Drummer Kevin Lowe appears live and on record with a wide variety of musicians, including Erin Condo and the Hoofties, Tyne and the Fastlyne, Lemont, and the Zeropoint Big Band. He is also a scholar of American religious history.
Bassist Bob Hart is a veteran touring musician who has done roadtime with Debbie Harry, Van Dyke Parks, and Kat Edmondson. Locally, he is the bassist in the Zeropoint Big Band and Pure Cane Sugar.
Saxophonist Rick Hirsch is the musical director of the Zeropoint Big Band, an indemand jazz educator, the staff arranger for the Penn State Blue Band, and fairly handyaround the house.
