Opening Reception: Cloud Catalyst Exhibition

Join us for the opening reception of “Cloud Catalyst,” a two-person exhibition of ceramic artists Stepanka Horalkova and Haakon Lenzi, curated by current Master of Fine Arts candidate Penelope Van Grinsven. Van Grinsven’s proposal was selected through a competitive open call for student curatorial projects.

“Cloud Catalyst” presents a collection of works inviting viewers to consider links among dust, clay, sky, and water in ceramics. For these artists, clay becomes both translucent and weighty, coaxed by the artists into transcending its material boundaries.
