State College Culture Crawl & Festival
July 8, 2018 @ 1:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Add to your growing art collections and come celebrate art and community in the heart of Downtown State College. On Calder Way, participating downtown stores will turn into art galleries by displaying works of art in each of their stores. The vendors contributing to The Culture Crawl will showcase their artistic and creative abilities in the Sidewalk Sale. We have 10 returning vendors, and 5 new vendors this year — one being Mike’s Homemade Jams. There will even be a new craft table for people to design their own wishing stones, free giveaways and drawings for prizes, as well as an art demonstration by Jonathan Preston and Kara Ballister!
The Culture Crawl will officially begin at 1PM and run until 7PM with participating restaurants and bars staying open considerably later to offer meals and drinks specials! This includes The Corner Room, Bill Pickle’s Tap Room, Zeno’s, Allen Street Grill, and more. The Libation Station on the patio of The Branch and The Vine will feature University Wine Company Wines, Otto’s Beer, and Big Spring Spirit Cocktails. Also, there will be entertainment throughout the day, with groups such as Happy Valley Improv, Tir Na Nog Irish Dance, Ben Salina’s Mystifying Magic, the band “Sauce”, Anchor and Arrow, and singer-songwriters Mike Rydock and Connor Chapman. Make sure you stop by for a day of fun!
