“Sunscreen & Personal Care Contaminants in Our Waters” by Autumn Blum

Preserving the longevity of our coral reefs is critical to ensuring that our environment is pristine for generations to come. Autumn Blum is an avid diver, a cosmetic chemist, and the founder of Stream2Sea, a line of biodegradable, eco-friendly, and reef safe skin care products. Her passion for ocean conservation is superior as she is a pioneer in the movement to protect our waterways. The mineral-based formula used in all Stream2Sea products is free of both oxybenzone and octinoxate, toxins that have been directly linked to the bleaching of our coral reefs and that are negatively impacting our environment.

Autumn Blum will be visiting Penn State – University Park on Thursday, March 28th at 7pm to give a presentation on “Sunscreen & Personal Care Contaminants in Our Waters” in the HUB Flex Theater. This event is FREE and open to the public! In addition, Autumn will be bringing free sunscreen samples for all who attend.
