The State Theatre was opened as a Warner Brothers theatre on October 15th 1938 and spent 63 years as a cinema before closing in 2001. The State Theatre reopened as a non-profit performing arts center in 2006. We are celebrating the 80th anniversary of our historic home throughout the month of October. Don’t miss your chance to join in the celebration at any of our events listed below, or stop by any day in October to check out our 80th anniversary lobby installation.

First Friday | Friday, October 5th from 5-7 pm: Help us celebrate our anniversary during October’s First Friday event! Check out our lobby installation, sign our State Theatre communi-tree, vote on future programming, enjoy entertainment by Totem Pole & CPDW and help us eat our birthday cake! We will also offer BOGO (buy one ticket, get one free) tickets to our screening of The Sisters on October 15th for patrons that purchase their tickets at The State Theatre during our First Friday event.
