Downtown State College Improvement District (DSCID) presents Calder WalkWay…a dynamic lighting attraction including family movies, a community vegetable garden, interchangeable public art with community engagement elements added along the way.
Calder Way, between Fraser and Pugh Streets, will be closed to vehicular traffic and open to pedestrians every Thursday thru Saturday from 6pm-11pm. Lights will come on at dusk.
The DSCID will ask local artists to participate in a backdoor art competition and will enlist our residents to select a winning design.  Interested artists should complete this Google Form:  Backdoor Artist Competition Submission Form
Calder WalkWay will provide an opportunity for the public to enjoy a one of a kind experience in Downtown State College.
Following what has been an extremely challenging year, the DSCID is committed to creating a welcoming environment for the community to engage with the downtown.
This initiative is supported and co-sponsored by the Borough of State College.
