Jay Vonada returns to the Attic to celebrate the release of his brand new CD, “United.” The album will be released on July 20 by the highly-regarded jazz and classical-focused Summit Records label.

Jay is undoubtedly the hardest working trombonist in the central Pennsylvania jazz business, with a full performance schedule. He’s a featured solist in the Zeropoint Big Band, and presents his own small jazz groups statewide. “United” is his sixth CD as a leader, and the first on a major record label.

Jay will be joined by the same gentlemen who appear on his new recording, bassist Bob Hart, pianist Kirk Reese, and drummer Kevin Lowe.

Keyboardist Kirk Reese has been an active part of the jazz scene in Pennsylvania for close to thirty years. He has performed with numerous notable jazz artists including Phil Woods, Lou Marini, Marvin Stamm and Terell Stafford. He appeared in the Attic in December performing Charlie Brown Christmas music with the Rick Hirsch 3.

Bassist Bob Hart lives in central Pennsylvania (by way of NYC), and is a fixture in both the local and international scenes. He has recorded and toured with artists in a wide variety of styles, including singer Kat Edmonson, Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Debbie Harry, songwriter/arranger/producer Van Dyke Parks, and others.

Drummer Kevin Lowe is originally from Ithaca, NY, and now lives in central Pennsylvania. He appears live and on record with a wide variety of musicians, including Erin Condo and the Hoofties, Tyne and the Fastlyne, Lemont, and the Zeropoint Big Band.
