The speakers will discuss how video games and gaming cultural spaces, such as live-streaming on Twitch or e-sports competitions, demonstrate many areas of individual and collaborative learning benefits, but also how limited in-game cultural representations and perceptions of gaming in the wider culture have helped perpetuate gender and racial stereotypes and learned negative behavior.
