Children and their families will enjoy a reading of the Polar Express book, a visit to Santa’s Workshop, a trolley ride downtown with an opportunity to see the Polar Express movie for FREE at The State Theatre and enjoy additional family activities at a number of downtown businesses during their day downtown!

Families will start their adventure at the Downtown State College Improvement District at 127 S Fraser. We encourage you to park in the Fraser Street garage and we will provide you with a free 4-hour validation! When you arrive, you will receive your ticket to board the Polar Express, instructions for the first part of your trip, and a list of free downtown activities that your family can enjoy during your visit.

At Santa’s workshop, hosted by State College Downtown Rotary Club, Santa will greet and take photos with every child, after which children will enter the workshop and pick out a free toy. The last stop is the craft table, where kids receive a printed copy of their photo with Santa. Best off all it’s all free of charge.
Instructions on how to register for the event will be coming soon. Walk up and stand by tickets will also be available during the event.

This event is only possible through the help of many volunteers.  Thank you to the members of the Downtown Rotary Club and Stepping Stones Community Church who give of their time and talents each year to make the holidays a little brighter for all who attend The Polar Express.
